Camping site de Muie borders directly on the magnificent East Scheldt National Park. This unique area, with an extremely good water quality, expansive mud flats and salt marshes, and miles and miles of long dikes, has a lot to offer. Water sports lovers can go scuba-diving, snorkelling, fishing, sailing, (kite) surfing and swimming without virtually any restrictions. At low tide you can go foraging about on the dry mud flats. And those who prefer to stay ashore can cycle along the cycle path outside the dikes or get a breath of fresh air along the coast. . A small yet beautiful beach lies on the East Scheldt side of the dam. This beach is very popular among tourists. A porous dam allows the water of the East Scheldt to come right up to the beach, even at low tide, creating a kind of beach pool. A 25-minute drive in the car takes you to Grevelingen dam and a wide recreational beach and good (kite) surfing possibilities. |
